Lisa was attending college while still in high school, studying english, government, and political science. She continued her education at the University of Heidelberg, while serving the United States Army (USAREUR) Judge Advocate General’s office (JAG) in Stuttgart, Germany. She also attended the Benedict German Language Institute, graduating in 1983. After being honorably discharged from the military, she worked as a battalion secretary for the Army’s civil service for another two years. In 1985 she returned to the U.S., attending and graduating from the TWA University in St. Louis, Missouri. After completing her apprenticeship, she was hired as the company’s sales and marketing junior executive. A year later, while visiting family in California, she was temporarily recruited by Scientific Games’ (SG) International Marketing Division to introduce European government officials to its product. Four months later, she returned to Germany and the airline industry, serving another seven years with Pan American and United Airlines. In 1992, Lisa returned to live in the U.S. and entered an apprenticeship program at the prestigious Ahlman & Associates Advertising Agency of Los Angeles and New York. A year later, she moved to Las Vegas, freelancing as a copywriter for nearly a dozen western regional natural cosmetic companies. In 1996 she was sponsored by Wolf Systems to design  The Tanning Place in Henderson, the first aromatherapy tanning and wellness spa of it’s kind. In 1998, she sold her company shares and joined the Bellagio poker room grand opening team, expanding her knowledge of live and tournament poker as hostess, game list attendant, chip runner, dealer, and floor person. In 2003, under the guidance of tournament director Jack McClelland, she joined the Bellagio, World Poker Tour, and WPT Aruba tournament and satellite teams. In 2005, she moved to the MGM in preparation of its poker room grand opening. She also spearheaded its first charity poker tournament. Lisa eventually left the corporate sector to become a gaming media member. 

With her combined logistical, sales, marketing, advertising, and multi-media skills, Lisa is uniquely qualified to report, photograph, and write for major poker and gaming magazines and websites.
